What is Hyperliquid?
Hyperliquid is a revolutionary onchain trading experience. It offers many of the features of centralized exchanges: fast trading, low fees - but it’s completely onchain.
Hyperliquid consistently lists tokens before major CEXs, and provides enough liquidity in the order books to minimize slippage. It’s a great place to trade tokens early, either as spot or on leverage.
There’s also a mobile app.
With increased trading activity and speculation on Hyperliquid’s upcoming airdrop, the trading app is used heavily by hundreds of thousands of traders. TVL crossed $1B less than 18 months after launch.
Given Hyperliquid’s features and top-tier trading experience, this is likely an application that continues to see heavy usage long after their TGE.
How to Sign Up & Deposit Funds
First, go to Hyperliquid’s website.
You’ll need a VPN if you’re in the US. It’s best practice to use one anyway - it makes internet usage much safer.
Brave Browser’s integrated VPN works great for me.
Deposit USDC or USDT on the ARB network to start using the platform.
If you don’t have USDC on Arbitrum, simply:
Bridge USDC to Arbitrum from any chain using RocketX or withdraw from an exchange of your choice
Click Deposit in the lower right corner of your trading dashboard.
You’ll receive a prompt to connect a wallet.
After connecting your wallet, you will be prompted to make your deposit with the interface below.
Your deposit will cost a few cents in gas (mine cost $0.04). Hyperliquid handles the bridging from Arbitrum to the Hyperliquid L1. After you’re on Hyperliquid, there are no gas fees.
Your deposit will go straight to your Perps account. You can transfer between Spot and Perps accounts in one click.
Start Trading
You’ll see an “Enable Trading” button on the lower right corner of your screen. You’ll need to click that before making your first trade.
That button opens up a new window - select Establish Connection, and you’ll be prompted for a signature in your browser wallet.
After confirming the signature, you’re good to go!
Find all available tokens for trading in the Search bar - you can search by category, and if you’re looking for more “unique” offerings, change the Strict list to All.
